▶ Birth Place : Misun Kang was born in Korea. ▶ Education - Kirov Academy of Ballet, Washington, D. C. - Sun Hwa Arts School ▶ Career - Promoted to Principal Dancer in 2012 - Promoted to Senior Soloist in 2010 - Promoted to Soloist in 2006 - Promoted to Demi-Soloist in 2005 - Joined Universal Ballet in 2002 ▶ Prizes - Korea Ballet Association’s Prima Ballerina Award in 2009 - 1st Prize at Seoul International Dance Competition in 2007 - Korea Ballet Association’s New Dancer Award in 2003 - Chairman Prize at Korea Ballet Association Competition in 1997 - 1st Prize at Seoul Arts High School in 1996 ▶Repertory Leading roles in John Cranko’s Onegin (Tatiana), Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo & Juliet (Juliet), The Nutcracker (Clara), Giselle (Giselle), Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), Swan Lake (Odette, Odile), La Bayadere (Nikia, Gamzatti), Don Quixote (Kitri), Shim Chung (Shim Chung), Brian Yoo's The Love of Chunhyang (Chunhyang), Jiři Kylian's Petite Mort, Nacho Duato’s Duende and Na Floresta, Hans van Manen’s Black Cake, William Forsythe’s In the Middle and Somewhat Elevated, Ohad Naharin’s Minus 7, Heinz Spoerli’s All Shall Be, Yong-Soon Hue’s This is Your Life and many other roles.
